On May 3, 2023, the consortium consisting of RWTH Aachen University, Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences and Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences was able to demonstrate how VR can be integrated into learning environments in the future in a workshop on “Open authoring tools for collaborative virtual learning environments”.
As the project AR/VR.nrw nears the end of its funding period we want to showcase the results of our work. Visit us at our workshop in Sankt Augustin or join online to see what Figments.nrw is capable to do and learn how you can use our authoring tools to create interactive virtual reality content yourself.

Today we talk about the integration of video streaming and voice chat with Agora as well as the implementation of individualized avatars with the help of ReadyPlayer.Me. We also talk about a first learning scenario.
Where we talk about virtual classrooms, new learning environments and ways to bridge the gap between virtual reality and desktop users.
